How Sellers purchase and manage their FarmMarket subscription

Last updated: 6 August 2026

1. Overview

This Sellers Purchase Policy explains how Seller subscription plans on FarmMarket are purchased, billed, changed, and cancelled. It applies only to the subscription fees Sellers pay to list products on the Platform, and should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Subscription Plans

To list products on the Platform, Sellers must choose and pay for one of our subscription plans. Current plans are:

Starter — R200/month: up to 25 product listings, basic analytics, direct messaging, email support, product photo gallery.

Enterprise — R500/month: unlimited product listings, full analytics suite, dedicated account manager, 24/7 phone support, premium featured listings, custom branding, API access.

Plan features and pricing are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time. The plan details and price shown to you at the time you subscribe or renew will apply for that billing period.

3. Purchasing a Subscription

To purchase a subscription, you must create a Seller account, select a plan, and provide valid payment details via our payment processor. By purchasing a subscription, you confirm that:

you are authorised to use the payment method provided;

the billing information you provide is accurate and up to date;

you agree to recurring charges as described in this policy, until you cancel.

4. Billing and Renewal

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis, in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.

Fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise; VAT is added where applicable by law.

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period, and your payment method will be charged the then-current price for your plan, unless you cancel before the renewal date.

It is your responsibility to keep your payment details current; a failed renewal payment may result in a grace period followed by suspension of your seller account.

5. Upgrading Your Plan

You may upgrade to a higher-tier plan at any time from your seller dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately, giving you immediate access to the higher tier's features and listing limits. Where applicable, we will charge a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your current billing period to reflect the higher plan.

6. Downgrading or Cancelling Your Plan

You may downgrade or cancel your subscription at any time from your seller dashboard.

Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain your existing plan's features until then.

If you downgrade to a plan with a lower listing limit, any Listings above that limit may be hidden or removed once the downgrade takes effect.

No partial refunds are given for the unused portion of a billing period when you downgrade or cancel, except where required by law.

7. Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun. We may, at our discretion, issue a refund or credit where:

you were charged in error (e.g. a duplicate or incorrect charge);

a service failure on our part prevented you from reasonably using the Platform during the billing period;

a refund is required under applicable consumer protection law.

To request a refund, contact us within 14 days of the charge with your account details and the reason for the request. We will review each request individually.

8. Failed or Declined Payments

If a renewal payment fails or is declined, we will attempt to notify you and may retry the charge. If payment is not resolved within a reasonable grace period, your seller account may be suspended and your Listings hidden from the Platform until payment is successfully processed or you select a different plan.

9. Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing from time to time. We will give existing Sellers at least 30 days' notice by email or in-platform notice before a price change takes effect on their next renewal. Continuing your subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

10. Taxes and Invoicing

Subscription prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Where VAT or other applicable taxes apply, they will be added to your invoice. Invoices and payment receipts for your subscription are available from your seller dashboard.

11. Account Closure

If you close your Seller account, your subscription will be cancelled effective at the end of the current billing period, and your Listings will be removed from the Platform. No refund is given for the remaining unused portion of that period, except where required by law.

12. Related Policies

This Sellers Purchase Policy governs only the purchase and management of Seller subscriptions. Rules for how Buyers and Sellers transact with each other for products are set out in our Terms and Conditions, and how we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
